History

The getDowntown Program has been around for greater than two decades and is dedicated to helping downtown employees commute into work via alternative transportation modes.

Program History

Founded in 1999, the getDowntown Program is a partnership between the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide), the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority, and the City of Ann Arbor.

The getDowntown Program as been a program of TheRide since 2010. Our offices have been located in the Blake Transit Center since 2014.

The getDowntown Program provides commuting programs and services to employees and employers in downtown Ann Arbor. Programs and services include the go!pass, the Commuter Challenge, Conquer the Cold Challenge, free commuting assistance to downtown employees and employers, commuting materials, ridesharing information and more.
