The 2013 Conquer the Cold Challenge is now over. Check back in November of this year to sign up for the 2014 Challenge. If you dare, that is!

Conquer the Cold

  • Conquer the Cold is a Winter Commuting Challenge for downtown staff members. Join the getDowntown Program for the 2014 Conquer the Cold Challenge, with sign-up beginning in November of 2013.

Compete

  • Sure, WE know your tough, but why not tout your hardcore commuting to your peers! Join legions of downtown staff members to compete for the most hardcore commute. 
    • Register: Register for the 2014 Conquer the Cold Challenge in November 2013. (Please note, a go!pass is required to participate. Learn more about the go!pass program here)
    • Prize Packet: Once you register, you'll get a prize pack with a Conquer the Cold Beanie (to first 130 registrants), coupons to downtown stores, and more!
    • Log Commutes in January: Starting in January, log your commutes to see stats and earn great prizes.
    • Badges of Honor: As you log bus, bike and walk commutes in January, you'll earn real buttons to put on your Conquer the Cold Beanie:
      • Cold Scout: Earn when you log your first commute in January.
      • Abominable Snowman: Earn when you log a commute during the snowiest or coldest day.
      • Winter Dominator: Earn when you log at least 20 commutes in January.
      • Triathlete: Earn if you log a bus, bike, and walk commute.
    • Grand Prize: The person who logs the most (or most hardcore) commutes in January will win a $500 gift card to Moosejaw!
    • Eligibility: To be eligible to participate in the Conquer the Cold Challenge you must have a valid go!pass.
  • Weekly Challenges: Check our Facebook Page and Twitter feed for Weekly Challenges. If you participate in the weekly challenge, you could win prizes like coffee gift cards, restaurant gift certificates and more!

    • Grand Prize: The person who logs the most (or most hardcore) commutes in January during the Conquer the Cold Challenge wins a $500 gift certificate to Moosejaw!
    • Other Prizes: You can also win prizes such as coffee cards and restaurant gift certificates during the weekly challenges.
